UCC 3.0 2019 - Dover Corp vs Bangalore Pirates CC

 

Winning the toss Dover Corp elected to bat first in a good track to bat. Varun Seth and Giri opened the innings for Dover Corp with 9 runs coming of the first over. One issue with the bowling team is the extras conceded from the start. The first wicket fell at the score of 16 runs in 2.2 over. Rakesh picked the wicket of Giri who was adjourned leg before wicket for 3 runs. A good second wicket partnership between the opener Varun Seth and Rahul Dev making it tough for the Bangalore Pirates CC. Praveen Sahadevan was given the ball in the 11 over of the innings with both Varun And Rahul scoring runs easily. It all changed with the wicket of Rahul who was clean bowled by the medium pacer Praveen. He also picket one more wicket in the 13th over to make it difficult for the batting team to score. Bangalore Pirates CC finally restricted the opponents for 114 runs picking 8 wickets. The highest scorer for Dover Corp was Varun Seth with a quick fire 48 runs off 46 balls with 4 boundaries and a six. Pick of the bowler was Praveen Sahadevan giving away only 18 runs of his 4 overs picking up 3 wickets for the team.

Chasing a modest target of 115 the Pirates started the innings with USHNISH DAS SARMA hitting two boundaries of the first two balls of the innings. Then it was the bowlers turn as Shyam chand coming back strongly by giving away no run in the last four balls of his first over.  The bowler came back strongly in the three over of the match with his being the second over. He picket USHNISH DAS SARMA's wicket with a super delivery. SARMA was caught by Giri for 10 runs of the bowling of Shyam. Small partnerships between the players helped the team to reach the target with 8 balls to spare. Praveen hit the winning run with a boundary to take the team to any easy win.
